For performance enthusiasts who want to race on the quarter-mile, Chevrolet offers a solution: the Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer. The individual components of this front-wheel drive race car – many of them available from GM Performance Parts – have been designed for straightforward installation, enabling racers to customize their vehicle as budget and time allow.

The Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer is powered by a 500-horsepower 2.2-liter Ecotec engine, and mated to a race-prepared Hydra-Matic 4T65-E automatic transmission. All of the modifications made to this drag race Cobalt are detailed in the GM Sport Compact Build Book, which is available through GM Performance Parts dealers.
